Chilling bodycam footage shows man shooting cop

Shocking video of a man shooting a police officer has been released to the public now that the suspect has been convicted. The Fourteenth Circuit Soliciter’s Office in South Carolina posted the video on their Facebook page Thursday.

The footage is from Estille Police Officer Quincy Smith’s bodycam from an incident on January 1, 2016.

Smith was responding to a call about a man harassing people outside of a convenience store. The video shows Smith approach a man on foot, who is on his phone with his other hand in his pocket. Smith asks him to stop and come over, when the man does not oblige, Smith points his taser at him and asks him to take his hands out of his pockets.

That’s when he shoots him.
