Severe flooding covers roads, fills homes

While Western Pennsylvania waits for snow to arrive, severe flooding hits the region.

Water covered roads and flooded homes in areas like Bridgeville and Canonsburg. Firefighters were pumping out basements filled with water on Maple Street in Bridgeville Friday morning.

Donnie Webb told RabbleVID the Chartiers Creek waters rose overnight and flooded the basement of the home he rents. Items belonging to his girlfriend, who is a two-time breast cancer survivor, were destroyed.

This video shows the runoff of water spilling over a creek in Canonsburg.

According to the National Weather Service, the Pittsburgh area broke its record for rainfall on January 12th.

Even though rain may be the only current issue, that winter snowfall is still coming….
